The Vapometer Cup design for easier sample setup.

 

There is an easier sample setup in the lab with the redesigned vapometer cup. The new design has no more individual screws to secure the flange in place. The specimens are easily loaded and sealed in place by twisting the treated upper aluminum flange in place.  Leakage is prevented by using a Teaflon Seal.

The Vapometer is used for determining the water vapor permeability of sheet materials such as specialty paper grades, polyethylene, leather, weatherproof clothing, vinyl, foil and other thin sheet materials. This property is essential in determining if a material is moisture proof or has the ability to protect contents from the transmission of water vapor.

Samples up to 3mm thick can be tested with this Vapometer model. The Vapometer Cups comply with the ASTM E96 standard. The cups are 63.5mm wide and 50.8mm deep.
