history
Rycobel has its origin in the one-man business "Noël Ryssaert", which started as a trading company, specialized in accessories for the textile industry.

The initial business evolves into 'Ryssaert en Zoon pvba' and 'Rycobel pvba'. Both companies are specialized trading companies who not only sell goods but also provide technical service, maintenance and repair. Rycobel pvba focuses increasingly on the reselling of industrial testing applications.
(A pvba is a private limited liability company)

The two pvba's merge into 'Rycobel nv'.(An nv is a public limited liability company)
Rycobel becomes European distributor for Thwing-Albert Instrument Company (USA) products..
-- 1991 --
Rycobel moves to its current location in the Nijverheidslaan in Deerlijk.
-- 1992 --
Pulmac (USA) entrusts its European distribution to Rycobel.
-- 2002 --
As an answer to the demand for a greater availability of consumables and spare parts the warehouse capacity is doubled...
-- 2003 --
Rycobel acquires the European distribution for Regmed (Brazil) products.
-- 2004 --
A cooperation contract with Lansmont (USA) is signed.
-- 2005 --
Rycobel obtains the ISO 9001:2000 certificate.
-- 2006 --
To ensure a better impact on the French market, a France-based subsidiary, 'EquInTech' is founded.
Cooperation contracts with Labthink (China) and the Belgian Packaging Institute are established.

New offices on the first floor accommodate growing staff numbers.

Taking over the activities of Atlas BV in the Netherlands
Through the years, Rycobel has acquired a vast variety of first class representations, which can be grouped into three major divisions:
- Industrial products
- Laboratory and testing applications
- Textile technical products, chemicals and machines
