Corona
Corona treatment has become one of the most common processes used for surface refinement. This method increases the surface tension of polymeric films and sheeting, aluminum foils, paper, cardboard & textile as well as 3D parts before they are printed, laminated or coated. This surface treatment improves iner-layer adhesion and promotes adhesion of the spread coating compound or printing ink.
The effect of this treatment can be measured with a pocket goniometer (contact angle analysis) or by means of test liquids with defined surface tensions.
Used in:
- Plastics processing industries
- Packaging industries
- Printing industries
- Photographic paper manufacturers

Atmospheric pressure plasma
The homogenous potential-free plasma makes it possible to treat a wide variety of materials, even thermo sensitive materials and electronic circuit boards can be treated without any damage. The treatment enables to create chemical boundary with glue or ink leading to a structural adhesion. Atmospheric pressure plasma often begin where corona stops.
The effect of this treatment can be measured with a pocket goniometer (contact angle analysis) or by means of test liquids with defined surface tensions.
Used in:
- Automotive
- White goods
- Aerospace
- Construction
- Electronics
- Packaging
- Medical devices
